DailyFinnish.fi is operated from Finland and follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation. We do not ask for your email address or any account; there is nothing to sign up for.
What we collect
- Partner clicks: when you click a labelled partner link we record the partner, the page you came from and the time. No name, no email, no IP address is stored with it.
- Practice progress: quiz scores and flashcard progress are stored in your own browser (local storage). They never leave your device.
- Analytics: we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count page views without identifying you.
Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Your dark-mode choice and practice progress are kept in local storage on your device. Partner websites you visit through our links may set their own cookies under their own policies.
Embedded videos
YouTube videos load only after you press play, through YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to processing by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
